Just as children are not just small adults, the problems seen in children are different than those in adults. Pediatric specialists are trained to evaluate and treat these conditions, and do so in a manner that respects children's concerns, fears, and development. The waiting room and exam rooms are arranged and decorated with children in mind to create a comfortable and non-threatening environment.
